 Morris
Township is a residential community and one of the most
affluent areas in Morris County. It is an areas with long
roots in the past. During the winters of 1777, George
Washington's Continental Army camped in the dep snows of
Jockey Hollow, now part of the National Parks system.
Morris Township, once a part of Morristown, now encircles
                      its neighbor.

Today, the Township offers residents a pleasing mix of
home sites which range from the new sub-divisions to
spacious older homes on tree lined streets to picturesque
                    dwellings built in colonial times.

Today there is a pleasing mix of homes including some built
in colonial times, large older homes from the early 1900's, new and newer homes,
and condominiums.

The Morris School District ( K-12 ) provides public
education and there are also a number of private schools
                      in the Township.
